Photo editing apps for a quick fix
If upping your Insta game is high on your list of to-dos, downloading a couple of photo editing apps to make your pictures more beautiful could help you out.
We take a look at some of the most popular.
VSCO
If you’re looking to set a theme and make your images a little more uniform, VSCO can help you out.
You can create your own custom filter to make sure saturation and brightness are the same on all of your images. If you want to change a single image, you can make your adjustments then post directly from the app.
VSCO is free from the App Store. Download it here.
Adobe CC apps
While Adobe is known for making programmes for designers, you don’t need expert knowledge to navigate the mobile app.
A range of apps including Lightroom, Photoshop Express and Photoshop Fix allow you to adjust your pics. You can cut bits out, overlay text and change the lighting or any specific parts on the image.
The apps are free on the App Store – just type ‘Adobe’ into the search bar.
Facetune 2
You’re perfect the way you are, but if you’re looking to make some small changes to an image, Facetune 2 has you covered.
If the lighting wasn’t ideal, you can smooth out images to make it more even. You can also remove red-eye and erase any loose hairs or clothes threads. If you want to replace a background, you can do that too!
You can download Facetune 2 on the App Store here for free.
Built in photo editing apps…
While additional apps can help, creating beautiful images begins with the iPhone camera.
Set the brightness by tapping the screen to get the ideal lighting before snapping your pic.
You can also make changes to your image in your photo library. Simply click on the image and select edit. You can adjust brightness and saturation to make your photos pop.
iPhone XR and iPhone XS also have incredible depth control settings so you can focus entirely on your subject. Simply shoot in portrait mode and change the depth afterwards.
